TwiN1000 double area blackbody

The TwiN1000 double extended area blackbodies are absolute infrared reference sources. They can be used as low temperature infrared reference sources. They consist of a head with two independently regulated emissive surfaces and their temperatures are controlled via a single electronic unit with PID adjusted regulator.

The emissive surfaces temperatures are controlled with high precision and stability at temperatures below or above ambient temperature. The two emissive surfaces temperatures are measured in real time thanks to high precision calibrated Pt sensors. The TwiN1000 blackbody is the ideal blackbody for applications which require calibration temperatures to jump from one to another within a second.

HGH Infrared Systems provides a full-featured LabVIEW driver for its family of blackbodies, compatible with LabVIEW v8 or higher and for all available communication links Ethernet, RS232 and IEEE.

The supply includes all the required VIs directly available from the LabVIEW menu. These functions allow the operator to send a temperature setpoint, read the current temperature, check the stabilization status and many other functions.

The supply also includes an example program built with all the available VIs.

Thanks to this driver, all HGH’s blackbodies are fully controllable and can be integrated into complex test benches running automatic infrared characterization routines.
