1. "Our kiln is long, isn't it difficult to see its whole length?"

For long kilns, the high optical resolution of the scanner allows to install it far enough from the shell to capture its whole length, while seeing small details and detecting hot spots corresponding to the failure of a single brick anywhere along the kiln. If, due to constraints in relation with the boundaries of the plant itself, it is not possible to install the scanner head so far away from the kiln, our exclusive 140° large field of view will allow to see it fully from a reduced distance using a single sensor head. 


2."Our kiln is inside a building, can we install the scanner at short distance?"

Similarly for kilns protected by covers or installed inside buildings, this wide field of view will support installation close to the kiln while monitoring a very long shell. If needed, more than one scanner head can be installed to see the entire kiln. In addition HGH scanners withstand high ambient temperatures, making it possible to install them closer to the shell. 


2."Our plant is crowded and buildings might hide part of the kiln..."

In complex environments where obstacles prevent from seeing the whole kiln with a single scanner head, up to four units can be combined. Their fields of view are aligned and concatenated to provide the operator with a single, full and seamless thermal image of the kiln. When small obstacles such as poles or beams hide a few short portions of the kiln, or to monitor small areas hidden behind tyres, shadow pyrometers can be installed locally and their data again integrated seamlessly into the image of the scanner to reconstruct an unobstructed view of the whole shell.


4. What about excessive absorption due to local atmospheric conditions?

If your plant is located in an area where phenomena such as dust winds or mist may adversely impair the accuracy of measurements, various solutions are proposed to compensate for atmospheric absorption at any point along the kiln.
