Igny, September 25th 2017 – HGH Infrared Systems’s Spynel will make its 1st appearance at the Monaco Yacht Show, from September 27th to 30th. This wide-area infrared surveillance system developed a world-leading position in the protection of Yachts in port and at sea, thanks to its cutting-edge technology and its ability to adapt to any environment and weather condition.

At the 2017 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show, Yacht owners and professionals in the Yacht and Super-Yacht industry will be able to discover the main features of Spynel regarding Yacht protection.  Yachts are an easy target at sea or in port, and piracy keeps on growing every year. Spynel offers a 360° infrared surveillance to prevent from daytime and nighttime attacks. The IR sensor automatically detects and tracks all threats undetectable by radars, such as wooden boats, UAVs and swimmers. Spynel sensors have the longest detection range in their category and can successfully operate in high sea states thanks to an autonomous gyro-stabilized platform.

« There are more and more Yachts and Super-Yachts at sea every year, and the number of attacks is growing accordingly. It is essential to take preemptive action before an attack occurs, and to be equipped with a surveillance system adapted to any marine condition. » said Edouard Campana, Sales Director and Head of Security IR systems at HGH Infrared Systems.

Spynel has been in the spotlight in the past few weeks, thanks to another innovation for the IR sensor, which can now be equipped with a Visible Channel and a Laser Range Finder (V-LRF option).
